About Sycamore Village (Orangevale Cohousing):
Orangevale Cohousing is attempting to create a pedestrian-friendly village where neighbors know and care about each other. Homes will be clustered around a Common Green with a centrally-located Common House. We have a signed contract on 3.5 beautiful acres in Orangevale, within walking distance of schools, a bus stop, a grocery store, a fitness center, a medical facility, and a restaurant.

About the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR):

The Draft EIR for Sycamore Village was released on November 26, 2007. The report is online at www.dera.saccounty.net. The Draft EIR says there will be no significant impacts from the project except for the removal of 19 oak trees. This is not a surprise as there are so many oak trees on the property. The project has been carefully designed to minimize all impacts. Importantly, the EIR said there would be no significant impacts on traffic.
