Charlie Brown wins VoteVets candidate run-off
Dear VoteVets.org Supporter,

I'm writing to let you know about the final result of our veteran candidate run-off and update you on some incredibly exciting races going on, with our endorsed candidates.

First, Charlie Brown, who is running to fill the open seat in Congress now held by Rep. John Doolittle (CA-4), will be receiving a $5000 check from VoteVets.org PAC, for winning the internet run-off this past week. Brown, along with six other veterans, were endorsed by VoteVets.org PAC last week. While each of the candidates was promised $1000 from us, you voted to give the maximum allowable $5000 contribution to Charlie's campaign.

Charlie Brown demonstrated two things this week. First, like each of the incredible candidates we have endorsed, he has strong grassroots support, which makes him a very formidable candidate in this election. And, that there is a real thirst for the voice of the veteran to go to Congress and set this nation on a more responsible course, when it comes to Iraq, the war on terror, and veterans' care.

That brings me to the second point. We are getting incredible political intel from Minnesota and New York. Ashwin Madia, who is running for an open seat in Congress in Minnesota, is defying every political expectation and cleaning up in the state senate district caucuses, which determine the party's nominee in November. Ashwin is running against some very seasoned political pros, but with grassroots support has been able to build an awesome effort that's really just steamrolling along.

And, in western New York State, Jon Powers is also running a campaign that has political watchers amazed. In fact, his campaign is so strong that Rep. Tom Reynolds, who he was running against, dropped out and retired this past week. Jon has taken all the skills he learned in the military and used them to run one of the most impressive efforts the district has ever seen, blowing away people with his fundraising, grassroots power, and organization.

These candidates deserve your immediate support. Please take a moment to click here, and donate to the campaigns of Ashwin Madia and Jon Powers, before their next filing deadline, of March 31. And tell all of your friends to do the same. Your support will make a difference!

Thank you for all of your support, and for voting in our candidate run-off. We've got an exciting year ahead of us, but we're going to need you with us, every step of the way!

Sincerely,

Jon Soltz
