Orangevale Community Planning Advisory Council Meeting
Tues, Feb 5 - 6:30-8pm - Orangevale Grange, 5807 Walnut Ave, north of Madison Ave

Sycamore Village (www.OrangevaleCohousing.org) is a proposed pedestrian-friendly village where neighbors will know and care about each other. The project will be considered on February 5th by the Orangevale Community Planning Advisory Council (CPAC). This hearing is a chance to demonstrate your support for a smart growth, green project endorsed by ECOS, the Sierra Club, and WalkSacramento.

In January 2007, the Orangevale CPAC voted against Sycamore Village because of neighborhood opposition. Since then, Sycamore Village has been redesigned to address the concerns. Some neighbors, however, are still opposed. The CPAC might approve the project on Feb 5 -- but only if there is a big turnout of supporters. Even if you don't live in Orangevale, your presence is needed to support this family-friendly, transit-oriented project.

This hearing is of vital importance. With CPAC approval, the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors hearings should go much more smoothly.
