Liar, liar

The George Bush Legacy

Torture. Illegal Interrogations. And Illegal Renditions.

Condoleeza Rice's contradictory, misleading and outright false statements about the US and torture have taken America's moral standing - and her own - to new depths ... read more

Condie, "The US does not authorize or condone torture ..."

So, we don't torture people, Condie? Could've fooled this guy

Seymour Hersh in the New Yorker, "A fifty-three page report, obtained by The New Yorker, written by Major General Antonio M. Taguba and not meant for public release, ... Taguba found that ... there were numerous instances of'sadistic, blatant, and wanton criminal abuses' at Abu Ghraib" ... more

The Taguba Report

Bbbbbut that's during war, in another country ... things happen, right? That would never happen in the good ol' USA.

[Sorry, Charlie, wrong again. There's video Here. Video: Shot in this country (allegedly). In the US. This is happening here - not Nazi Germany, but HERE ... In ... the ... United States ... (allegedly). Save the video to your hardrive, or disc, if you want, because it may very well mysteriously disappear into the ether.]

Condie, "...And has not transported detainees from one country to another for the purpose of interrogation using torture"

From the LA Times, "Although Bush administration officials have denied that they transfer terrorism suspects to countries where they are likely to be abused, a classified memorandum described in a court case indicates that the Pentagon has considered sending a captured militant abroad to be interrogated under threat of torture" ... more

But, have they sent anyone abroad to be interrogated under threat of torture? That only says they planned to, not that they did do it.

Oops, they did it again.

Meet Maher Arar. "On Jan 27th, President Bush, in an interview with the Times, assured the world that 'torture is never acceptable, nor do we hand over people to countries that do torture.' Maher Arar, a Canadian engineer born in Syria ... Two and a half years ago, American officials ... apprehended him in New York and sent him back to Syria, where he endured months of brutal interrogation, including torture" ... more

Now you're probably asking, how would they transport them if they did do it?

Ahem, cough, cough

Bbbbbut, Condie and Duhhhbya said we don't do that, we're not secretive like that. The media keeps telling us what a great guy he is. He's as 'Merican as baseball, hot dogs and apple pie ...

Hmm, baseball, which reminds me

But it's not all outsourced to baseball owners, ever hear of the original Air America

Oops, busted again

Why would they change the tail number? Same plane, different number. If it's all legal and on the up and up, why the secrecy?

N379P

But what I really want to know is ... are they hiring?

Because in George Bush's Amerikkka, that's what's really important right? Making money? They're just "tearists," right? Who cares if we rough up a few bad guys, right?

It's not about them. It's about us. What are we when we are no better than them? Who are we?
