HELP STOP THE AUBURN DAM! PLEASE WRITE TO SENATOR FEINSTEIN

The House of Representatives has just approved an appropriation to conduct a $30 million or more study of the Auburn Dam. Representative Doolittle plans to stick the local cost share for this expensive and useless study on Sacramento area taxpayers. Now the fight moves to the Senate.

Senator Dianne Feinstein sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee, so she is well placed to kill this boondoggle. She has also stated her opposition to the Auburn Dam in the past.

Please send an email TODAY to Senator Feinstein urging her to kill the Auburn Dam study appropriation in the Senate and to do everything she can to block its consideration in a House/Senate conference committee. Be sure to remind Senator Feinstein that the Auburn Dam is TOO EXPENSIVE, TOO RISKY, AND TOO DESTRUCTIVE, and it’s completely unfair to force Sacramento taxpayers to share the cost for a study they do not support, and for a flood control project that Sacramento does not need.
