Heinberg - “Peak Oil and Global Warming”
Richard Heinberg, widely regarded as America's foremost Peak Oil educator, will discuss “Peak Oil and Global Warming” in Davis on November 16. His talk will include the most recent evidence regarding the timing of the global production peak, its intersection with global warming, likely consequences, and what can be done at both the international and local levels to prepare for the future. Heinberg, is the best-selling author on three of the most important books on Peak Oil, including: The Party's Over: Oil, War and the Fate of Industrial Societies (New Society, 2003, 2005), and Powerdown: Options and Actions for a Post-Carbon World (New Society, 2004). His talk is scheduled for 7:00 - 8:30pm on Friday, November 16, 2007 in the Meeting Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Road, Davis. Free admission for students. For others, a suggested donation at the door is $10-20.
