DNC Western Caucus Meeting & Breakfast / Forum
submitted by
on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 - 2:30pm PSTOn Sat. Jan 22nd the candidates for the Democratic National Committee (DNC), including Howard Dean, will be in Sacramento (at the Radisson) for their regional meeting. The meeting starts at 1:00 and the members of the DNC will get to ask the candidates questions. The 1:00 meeting is open to the public, but please get there early to sign up as seating is limited. There will also be a breakfast & forum for supporters of the candidates for DNC Chair to present their thoughts to DNC members prior to their meeting on January 22nd. It will be held at the Radisson Hotel from NEW TIME 9:00AM to 12:00 noon. Gov. Dean will speak to us at 11:30 !! UPDATE: As of Fri. 01/21 it appears that the Breakfast/Forum is nearly sold out and they are not taking any more reservations. If anyone with a reservation does not check in before 9:45 those seats will be available to those waiting in line. . Also, you can still go to the free 1:00 event, but I would suggest getting there very early (no later than 11:00) as there are no reservations and only about 300+ seats available. DEFEND WOMEN'S HEALTH & RIGHTSJanuary 22nd is the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that established the constitutional right to reproductive freedom. On the same day, anti-choice extremists plan to march in San Francisco against women's health and rights. The anti-choice minority might be emboldened by the climate in Washington, D.C. but they are not welcome here!Time: Saturday, January 22, 2005 - 9:00am PST |
