Jan 20 - Not One Damn Dime day
Since our religious leaders will not speak out against the war in Iraq, and since our political leaders don't have the moral courage to oppose it, Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20, 2005 is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.

On January 20th Christine Craft of Talk City Radio (1240 AM) is having a coronation for the Bush inauguration. The coronation meets at 10 a.m. at Caesar Chavez park and will march to the capitol. Talk City will provide signs, we just have to show up. Also, Christine is looking for people with drum major outfits or drum units to march in the parade. This would be fun and prove a point. This is a chance to tell the campus not just that we didn't vote for George Bush but why we didn't vote for him. Our numbers anywhere we go will not make as much an impact as our ideas can, and by reducing ourselves to numbers in a crowd at a protest sells short the power that we have.
