Sacramento for Democracy April Meetup
Sacramento for Democracy April Meetup Our Wednesday, April 6th Meetup will once again be at the SEIU building at 1911 F Street (between 19th & 20th St) in downtown Sacramento from 7 - 9 PM. We will continue our ongoing discussion of expanding diversity in the progressive community. Our March discussion went great and now we need to expand it even further. If you know any other groups that would be interested in coming to our meeting, please let me know. Send an email to Sac4Democracy@hotmail.com . We will also work on the local Social Security stories that we have collected (and collect some more). We will plan how we will present these stories to our local media and set up meetings with our Congresspersons. We also have a short DVD to watch. We will be coordinating efforts for the Anti-Arnold campaign to try and stop his $70 million Special Election that the taxpayers will end up paying for. We will be working with California for Democracy, Unions, Air America, other progressive entities, etc... We will have a discussion of the 2nd anniversary of the Iraq Occupation and where we go from here. If you have any other ideas for this meeting, please let me know. We are going to limit the number of agenda items as we would like to have a little socializing time at the end of the meeting. A big THANKS again to SEIU for allowing us to use their meeting room. Cheers, Your Sacramento For Democracy Team Time: Wednesday, April 6, 2005 - 7:00pm PST Length: 2:00 Location: SEIU 250 offices 1911 F St. Sacramento, CA Maps: MapQuest - Yahoo! Stop Arnold
There is a concerted effort being organized to stop Arnold's special
election. Here are some useful links. Please spread them far and
