Precinct Walk for Pat Lenzi Sunday
Hello SFD Brothers and Sisters,

I'll be at the Longshoreman's Hall in West Sacramento Saturday and Sunday morning at 10 am -- PLEASE, PLEASE join me!!

We need to get Pat Lenzi elected so we don't have to read about Jeff Reisig and the gross misuse of gang injunctions and other civil rights violations levied at innocent residents of the Bryte and Broderick neighborhoods! In case you don't know where the Hall is, here's the address and map. Type in where you are coming from in the "Starting Location" to find out how to get to 600 4th St., West Sac, CA:

We will do a precinct walk --- to drop literature and put up lawn signs -- all over the Bryte and Broderick neighborhoods!! If we can cover some ground there, we will WIN the race for Pat! The CA Dem Party, ACLU, LULAC, Americans for Freedom in West Sacramento, and many other groups that care about CIVIL RIGHTS and SOCIAL JUSTICE are all backing Pat because she has made it clear that not only will her door be open to the citizens of the community, but that SHE will work for THEM -- her appearance at tonight's meeting convinced us that she will be fair and open. To underscore that point, many residents who have been on the receiving end of the current D.A.'s approach to law and order are all walking for Pat, including Arturo Solario, the man who was unjustly detained for 17 days without charge over the packback incident in West Sacramento when Bush came to town. If that's not a vote of confidence for someone, I don't know what is!!

As well, this is an excellent opportunity to leaflet for Debra Bowen or Phil Angelides, if you choose. With Debra, establishing greater visibility for her in the Latino community is important, since there is the worry that many voters might choose her opponent because of her surname. We know that Bowen is the only qualified choice for the position of Secretary of State, and a true champion of democracy.

We will provide precinct lists, "lit" pieces, and WATER! Members of the groups listed above and others, will be there. All you have to do is show up, walk and 'drop'!! It's that easy. Please join us -- I'll be there both days.

A little or a lot -- it's all appreciated and for a good cause. Don't hesitate to call if you can't make it at 10am but would like to help.

See you there!
Karen
