Miko Peled "The General's Son" events

Sacramento area Jewish Voice for Peace is pleased to host Israeli peace and justice advocate Miko Peled, who will discuss his recently published book, The General's Son, on Thursday, Sept. 20. Please join us for a stimulating talk and discussion at one of the following events. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

  • at City College's Cultural Awareness Center, 3835 Freeport Boulevard, at noon.
  • at Time-Tested Books, 1114 21st Street, Sacramento, 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments).
  • There may be another appearance the next day -- an announcement will follow if so.

Peled is the grandson of an early Zionist leader and founder of the state of Israel. His father, Mattityahu Peled, was a top general during the 1967 war who went on to become a member of Israel's parliament representing the small peace movement. The book is both a personal account of the author's political evolution and a manifesto for Israelis and friends who support Palestinian rights. You can read more online about Peled here and about the book here.

Please mark your calendar and come hear The General's Son.
