Please Help Green Party’s Jill Stein Get Her First Ad On TV!

There is a corporate media blackout on Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.

Of course there is. Jill Stein is the true voice of us 99%ers!

Stein needs donations from the 99%ers to help run her first ad linked below. It's a good one!!!!

This would be chump change for the two legacy corporate-captured political parties but for the Green Party, that has made an oath not to sell out the needs and rights of American citizens to corporations, it is about collecting precious pennies from citizens of conscience. This is particularly challenging for all “concerned” in our economically strapped and terrorized nation.

Stein has until Thursday, September 6th, for the “matching funds” benefit. A citizen can donate $2500 to Stein’s campaign whenever, but up until this Thursday, $250 of each contribution will receive public matching funding. A precious boost to this third party candidate.

The Stein campaign wants to raise at least $80,000 to have their first ad run in “college town media markets”, $120,000 for it to have a viewership in medium-sized cities (population 1/2 to 2 million), $200,000, to buy media time in at least a couple of major metropolitan areas.

The theme of the ad is “Enough”. Anyone not feeling we are all drowning in a swamp of political corruption created by BOTH legacy corporate parties?

From Stein’s website:

The ad, created and produced by North Woods Advertising, is the first of a series of ads that will appear the next week across the country in various media markets, including [hopefully] “heavy-up” buys in California, New York, Oregon, Colorado, Vermont, Texas, Minnesota, Maine and Rhode Island.  The mix of :60 and :30 ads will air on highly rated cable channels including MSNBC, Comedy Central, CNN, USA, MTV, Headline News, TBS, Bravo, TLC, HGTV, Lifetime, and TNT, as well as local news networks.

Ben Manski, Campaign Manager, says that with this coverage, the Stein/Honkala ticket will be the only presidential campaign truly conducting a national campaign. “After the primaries, the Democrats and Republicans tend to only focus their attention on swing states, leaving voters in other states feeling abandoned and unimportant,” said Manski. "Jill Stein and the Green Party are the only ones talking to ALL Americans by appearing on TV nationally.

"This marks the first significant media buy from the Green Party Presidential campaign, just days after the Federal Election Commission declared Jill Stein for President eligible to receive federal matching funds. The Jill Stein campaign expects to be on the ballot in at least 40 states and to spend at least $1 million. At the moment, it has secured ballot access in 33 states, including the battlegrounds of Colorado, Florida, Michigan and Ohio where Republicans and Democrats are in heated races.

Jill Stein is a medical doctor who ran against Romney in MA in 2002. Stein’s platform is labelled a "Green New Deal for America.” Stein's goals as listed from the the labor day message on her website:

  • employ the unemployed in public works projects and federally-supported community-controlled cooperatives and other enterprises; create 25 million green and public service jobs;
  • raise the federal minimum wage to a living wage;
  • repeal the anti-labor Taft-Hartley Act, outlaw permanent striker replacements, and authorize majority card check union recognition;
  • pass the Right To Vote Amendment to establish an affirmative constitutional right to vote and accurate vote counting;
  • pass a constitutional amendment to repeal the corrupting court-ordered doctrines that corporations are people and money is speech and establish that corporations and election campaign finance can be regulated;
  • enact single-payer Medicare for All;
  • forgive student debt and provide tuition-free public education from pre-school through graduate school;
  • eliminate the cap on Social Security taxes for high incomes in order to secure Social Security's indefinite fiscal sustainability;

Speaking of Labor Day, Stein knows all too well the realpolitik between the legacy corporate parties and the workers of America:

The AFL-CIO leadership are demanding that the two corporate-financed parties, the Democrats and Republicans, adopt the Economic Bill of Rights in their platforms at their conventions this year. They must know this is a lost cause with the openly anti-union Republicans. They should know that a real commitment to an Economic Bill of Rights is as much a lost cause with the Democrats, who have taken labor's political support for granted for many decades with no significant pro-labor reforms to show for it.

Imagine if labor had spent the over $15 billion they spent on the Democrats over the last 40 years instead building an independent labor party and movement. Today we would have scores of labor party organizers in every state supporting a broadly based party of the working class majority. We would have blocks of independent labor representatives in municipal, county, state, and the national legislatures. We would have a national labor daily newspaper and labor networks on radio and cable. The two corporate financed parties would no longer monopolize U.S. politics. Democrats like Obama would not dare to force new free trade treaties upon workers. Badly needed labor reforms would be back on the table. And halting the decline of real wages and living standards would suddenly be more of a priority than protecting the big Wall Street banks.

Jill Stein asks that citizens engage with her in three ways and help with the work-arounds for her lack of a multi-million dollar budget:

1. Stay in touch on social media:

3. DONATE:

https://jillstein.nationbuilder.com/donate or write Jill Stein for President, PO Box 260217, Madison, WI 53726-0217. (information: HQ@JillStein.org).

Once again, the Green Party doesn't accept corporate donations. It makes these campaigns all the more challenging, but it also ensures the Green Party is only "beholden to" the PEOPLE. Not Wall Street. Not the 1%.

Let Jill Stein of the Green Party seriously introduce her voice -- and soon -- for peace, people and planet to the national political conversation!

Please see the advantage of encouraging a national discussion of Stein's pro-people policies as opposed to colluding with corporate strategists who want so-called progressive citizens to stay cynical and obstructionistic for the sake of “lesser evil” Democratic Party gamesmanship.
