CEC Nuclear Power Plant workshop
The California Energy Commission will be holding a committee workshop on California Nuclear Power Plant issues on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 beginning at 10 am at the California Energy Commission, 1516 Ninth Street, First Floor, Hearing Room A, Sacramento. The workshop will discuss “uncertainties about seismic and tsunami hazards at Diablo and the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station along with the environmental, safety, and economic implication of recent events at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan.”

Written comments can be submitted by e-mail to docket@energy.state.ca.us with cc to bbyron@energy.state.ca.us by 5 pm on August 2. Please include the docket number 11-IEP-1J and indicate “California Nuclear Power Plant Issues” in the subject line. Word or PDF documents can be attached.
It is anticipated that there will be a public comment time (for up to 3 minutes each) at the July 26 hearing beginning at about 4 pm (exact schedule has not been announced-please check the Energy Commission's website). Now is the time to communicate your concerns about nuclear power in California. Upon arrival, please fill out a blue card which will be available just inside Hearing Room A.
